I was searching the web for boxer photos and found this one. It blew me away. The standing, uncropped boxer is almost the exact duplicate of my previous boy, Rascal. I cannot tell if this one is a male or female. I would gladly send you a photo of Rascal to show you the amazing similarity in face, stance and coloration. The flashy brindle markings are almost exact, too. I wondered if you knew where this photo came from and perhaps the genealogy of this pup.
thanx... doug

the reason people say there are not any black boxers are simple, they aren't called black boxers they are called reverse brindle sealed. which simply means the black stripes seal off the fawn color, which in certain sunlight is visible by the naked eye. I too have owned a black boxer

There are NO black boxers. They dont carry the gene so dont exist. The black boxer you think you have is actually a "reverse brindle" or a "sealed brindle." The black stripes blending together and not showing any of the brown or fawn colors. I have a "black" boxer myself, and while it is easier to tell people she is black, I know she isnt.

"Stubborn" and "desperate need for attention". I think you summed it up perfectly. My Boxer is the most affectionate dog I've ever had and she loves playing the clown but boy is she stubborn. Wouldn't trade her for the world though :)

My take on this topic is simple. If it weren’t for my dog I would have no reason to live. We’ve been together every day since she was 12 weeks old (she’s almost 5) and I couldn’t imagine just leaving her; or for that matter being without her.

Mini Boxers are a ridiculous attempt at a BACKYARD breeder to make some extra bucks with a rat terrier and a pug that they got as pets and couldnt afford to fix, and they ended up having puppies, and so someone says "oh how cute, they almost look like mini boxers" and they thought "oh my god i should sell them for a ton more money than they are worth and turn a profit off these mutts". PATHETIC. Mini boxers have Z-E-R-O percent% boxer in them! ITS A RAT TERRIER DAM AND PUG SIRE! RIDICULOUS! Don't purchase these "designer breeds". By doing so, you are taking away from the entire purpose in breeding purebred dogs to MAINTAIN THE BREED STANDARD set forth by those who designed the breed CENTURIES AGO!

Krista, I would suggest purchasing a deer antler from Antlerz. They are all natural and might make an easy switch from tree branches to something that won't bother them.

Meanwhile, our new puppy had a terrible batch of Coccidia. He fought through it with medication and patience and is now doing fine.
